Struggling to keep your makeup looking fresh all day? Whether it's oily skin, humidity, or the hustle and bustle of your day, it can be a challenge. Here’s a few tips to make sure your makeup stays put from morning to night.

Here’s how to make your makeup last all day.

  1. Prep Your Skin.

Start with a clean slate. Use micellar water and a reusable Forever makeup round to wipe away any excess oil from your face and eyelids. This step ensures your skin is ready to hold onto your makeup.

2. Choose the Right Moisturiser and SPF.

We often focus on foundation but forget the importance of what goes underneath. Opt for an oil-free moisturiser and a mattifying SPF. Let both sink in fully before moving on to your makeup.

3. Get Primed.

Apply a shine-control primer to your face, and if you have oily eyelids, go for a dedicated eye primer to keep your eye makeup in place.

4. Apply Your Makeup.

Apply your foundation and eye makeup as normal. All except for your mascara.

5. Set with Powder.

Use a translucent microfinishing loose powder over your face and eyes. The powder gives your products more staying power. Apply your mascara after this step.

6. Lock It In.

For extra staying power, seal your look with a setting spray mist over your entire face. It's lightweight and will hold makeup in place so it doesn’t smudge, crack, melt or fade.

7. Bring Blotting Paper.

Finally, if you feel the need, pop some blotting papers into your bag. They will absorb oil throughout the day without disturbing your makeup. They’ll keep you looking fresh, not shiny.

With these simple tips, you can say goodbye to midday touch-ups and hello to long-lasting makeup.
